Because, after our offer was accepted, the listing agent kept the house available for backup offers. Which, they did receive, in fact, one for about $50,000 more than our offer and purchase price. The listing agent did about all she could do to get us to back out of our purchase. Fortunately, neither we, nor Shawnda bit on the ill treatment we received.Our purchase was completed on time and we are enjoying our new home.
